The Houghton Energy Efficiency Team (HEET) is holding the first of two Great LED Light Bulb Swaps. This frist event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at the Siskiwit Reception Hall on Pine Street in Calumet. The second Swap will be held April 23 at the Lakeshore Center in Houghton.
The first 100 households that bring in an incandescent light bulb will receive a free LED bulb and have the pleasure of smashing their old, energy-hogging one, said HEET volunteer Marcia Goodrich, who is organizing the Swaps.
Free coffee and refreshments will be available.
The Great LED Light Bulb Swaps are supported in part by Michigan Tech’s Sustainable Futures Institute and the university’s Rotaract chapter, which is a student affiliate of Rotary International.
Length: One-time event
